Raspberry Pi Carbon Removal Credit
£3.20
To help mitigate the impacts of climate change, Raspberry Pi is supporting the work of UNDO, an organisation whose mission is to permanently remove a billion tonnes of CO2 from the Earth’s atmosphere.
Raspberry Pi Carbon Removal Credits offer you the opportunity to offset the carbon emissions associated with the manufacture, shipping and disposal of your Raspberry Pi single-board computer.
It takes the form of a credit-card sized piece of card, bearing a unique verifiable serial number. For each card purchased, Raspberry Pi purchase 6.5kg of high-quality “enhanced rock weathering” carbon offsets from UNDO Carbon. These offsets are generated by spreading crushed basalt on farmland, absorbing the rated quantity of carbon from the atmosphere over a period of at most twenty years.
Please note: This is intended to be purchased alongside a Raspberry Pi board, kit or other product, not on it's own.

How does it work?
UNDO takes silicate rock, crushes it into a fine powder, and spreads it on agricultural land. The rock begins weathering straight away, sped up by the increased reactive surface area, simultaneously removing atmospheric CO2 and enriching the soil with essential nutrients. Because silicate rocks are the most abundant on Earth, enhanced rock weathering has the ability to rapidly scale to permanently remove billions of tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.
How is Raspberry Pi helping?
Raspberry Pi is committed to doing its part to help the UK reach its net zero emissions target by 2050. By purchasing a carbon removal credit, you are helping Raspberry Pi support the removal of 6.5 kg of CO2 from the atmosphere using UNDO’s enhanced rock weathering technology, offsetting the manufacture, shipping, and disposal of one of our single board computers.
