S5 Gen 3 Sound Platform
The Qualcomm S5 Gen 3 platform has been designed to elevate the audio performance of premium Bluetooth® earbuds, headphones and speakers.
With 50% more memory and significantly more DSP processing power than its predecessor, the platform will power rich and responsive experiences for many use cases including music listening, gaming and enterprise. Packed full of premium audio tech including 4th Generation Qualcomm® Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Qualcomm® cVc™ Echo Cancelling and Noise Suppression (ECNS), and Snapdragon Sound™ Technology Suite, the platform can deliver amazing sound quality at home, at work and on the go. Designed for audiophiles who demand more from their devices the platform also delivers improved DAC performance with 50% lower noise floor compared to our previous generation.

This platform has been designed to delight audiophiles with amazing sound quality, at home, at work and on the go. It supports Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless to deliver high bit-rate audiophile music streaming at 24-bit 48kHz and offers improved DAC performance for pristine audio quality.

Powerful on-device AI maximizes audio performance and enhances the user experience for many different use cases. The data is processed locally on device for enhanced security and peace of mind, and enhanced power management helps you to get the best performance and experience from your device, without draining battery life.
Immersive listening
This is the first time our powerful 4th Generation Qualcomm ANC is available on our S5 tier, delivering our strongest ever ANC performance. The ANC also automatically and dynamically adapts to provide strong ANC performance based on different variables include variations on fit, because everyone has different ears, or if the earbud becomes loose in the ear as you move, or if the noise suddenly changes in your environment. Adaptive transparency mode helps to let sounds from the outside world in when needed, and the ANC will automatically and seamlessly transition between these modes as needed.
